There’s nothing more we love to do at Blythe Valley Park than to connect the business community and our Commonwealth Games Summer Party provided the perfect opportunity.

To celebrate Birmingham hosting this major sporting event in the city, we gave all our party goers a free lunch and drink, with live music and our own range of park games on the Lawn opposite Virgin Active.

Street Food

Over 400 people from across the business park turned up for the festivities and enjoyed food from pop-up street-food vendors, Mister V, Street Souvlaki, Spice Fever and Caribbean Kitchen.

The glasses of chilled prosecco and cool beer also went down a treat in the sunshine and once the food was enjoyed, the games began. Many made full use of our large green Lawn area for football, frisbee and even some mega bubbles!

Our events team at Blythe Valley Park did us proud as did Birmingham, which was successful in achieving one of the most well attended Commonwealth Games ever!

Community Connecting

We also got some lovely feedback from our occupiers including Infor and GKN who said the events were great for enticing staff back into the office and getting them to make connections with colleagues.

We’ve got lots more events planned over the coming months too at Blythe Valley Park. To find out more you can sign up for our newsletter here(insert link) to keep up to date or follow us on Instagram @BlytheValleyPark, Twitter @BlytheValley & LinkedIn @BlytheValleyPark.
