**We are very sorry to announce that due to issues around the current climate with coronavirus, we have taken the proactive step to postpone the Willow Workshop event due to take place on Friday 20th March. We will be looking to reschedule the event to a later date and will announce a new date on Bulletin in due course. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.**

Our first Wellness at Work session of the year will be on Friday 20th March… We have 2 willow basket makers coming to run a ‘willow workshop’ for our occupiers at Blythe Valley Park. Participants will make either a willow heart or a small basket suitable for holding a fat ball for birds – both great gifts for Mother’s Day on Sunday 22nd March!

Not sure whether to get involved?… Taking part in arts and crafts can be great for your mental health and wellbeing! A large scale online study into the benefits of knitting found that “respondents reported they derived a wide range of perceived psychological benefits from the practice: relaxation; relief from stress; a sense of accomplishment; connection to tradition; increased happiness; reduced anxiety; enhanced confidence, as well as cognitive abilities (improved memory, concentration and ability to think through problems)”. You can read more about this study and the benefits of arts and crafts in the article listed below…

The 45 minute session will run from 12.30pm – 1.15pm for 10 people on Friday 20th March 2020, and the basket makers will guide you through how to make a willow heart or small basket – which you can then take away with you at the end of the workshop.

The session will be held at Prologis’ offices – Prologis House, Blythe Gate, Solihull B90 8AH.

You will be provided with your own pair of secateurs for the workshop (but if you have your own, just bring them along).

To sign up simply email emily.coombs@improperties.co.uk.

We hope to see you there!
