The Mental Health Foundation is once again hosting its annual Mental Health Awareness Week from 14th – 20th May. The theme for 2018 will be ‘stress: are we coping?’. We will be looking at how we can help our occupiers step away from work and find time to ‘de-stress’ within their working day through a range of fun and free workshops on site including yoga and practicing mindfulness. See below to find out more about the workshops and sign up to attend. But be quick! Spaces are limited on each workshop

Dog Walking – Back by popular demand, Daybreaks Kennels are bringing 6 of their lovely greyhounds to Blythe Valley Park so they can be walked by you! They will be at BVP on Tuesday 22nd May between 12pm and 2pm – there are 24 slots of 20 minutes for you to take these lovely pooches for a stroll around our country park!

Yoga – “Studies have found that regular yoga practice improves coordination, reaction time, memory, and even IQ scores”. Virgin Active will be running 2 free yoga sessions on Monday 21st May from 12.45pm – 1.30pm and Wednesday 23rd May from 12.30pm – 1.15pm. There are 20 places available for each session – sign up now!

Mindfulness – Mindfulness is recommended by the NHS “as a way to help reduce stress and anxiety whilst also increasing resilience for the future.” NHS Choices, 2016. Roz Kings, from ‘Present Mind’, is coming to Blythe Valley Park to run a 45-minute mindfulness taster session on Thursday 24th May from 12:30pm – 1:15pm for anyone who’d like to learn more about the benefits of mindfulness. The session will involve learning about what mindfulness is, and Roz will also guide you through a formal mindfulness practice so that you can experience a “taste” of being mindful. There are only 12 spaces available, so sign up quickly! The session will be hosted at PKF Cooper Parrys ‘Park View’ office which if you haven’t had the pleasure of visiting you must – a space that will leave you feeling inspired and full of energy!

To sign up for any of the above, please email emily.coombs@improperties.co.uk with the workshop you would like to attend, your name, and contact details. But be quick! As there are limited places.
