We are delighted to announce that Blythe Valley Park has been honoured with an International Green Apple Environment Award, a globally recognised accolade celebrating excellence in sustainability.

Selected from over 1,200 nominations worldwide, this prestigious award was presented by Richard Wilkins, General Manager at Sony UK Technology Centre, Wales, the winners of this year’s International Green Apple Awards Champion of Champions.

A Green World Ambassador & Global Recognition

As part of this achievement, Blythe Valley Park has been invited to become a Green World Ambassador, further promoting our environmental initiatives on a global scale. Our award-winning sustainability project – planting a community orchard – will also be featured in The Green Book, an internationally respected guide to environmental best practices, helping to inspire and guide other organisations worldwide.

Looking ahead, we are proud to represent our country at the Green World Environment Awards in New Zealand next year, an international platform bringing together the world’s top innovators in sustainability.

Recognised for Our Commitment to Sustainability

The Green Apple Awards, organised by the independent non-profit The Green Organisation, recognise and reward outstanding environmental practices worldwide.

An independent judging panel praised our vibrant community orchard initiative, highlighting its role in boosting biodiversity, providing fresh fruit, and fostering sustainability through diverse fruit tree planting.

This award is a testament to our ongoing commitment to sustainability, innovation, and creating a greener future at Blythe Valley Park.
