Nature Trail & Country Park

Blythe Valley Park Nature Trail has been designed to help guide visitors around the Country Park. There are a number of interpretation boards located around the Nature Trail which have information on the variety of wildlife that can be found in the Country Park.

The walk will take roughly 45 minutes and can be started at any point on the trail. There are a number of resting points and litter bins throughout the walk.

Busy Bees nursery

What's more, there's a 100 place nursery which provides day care for children aged from three months to five years. Busy Bees nurseries are designed to suit the needs of young children, with large, bright, play rooms, all complete with modern indoor equipment and a variety of age appropriate toys. Busy Bees Nurseries combine caring with education by following the Department of Education's learning framework, Early Years Foundation Stage.

Java Lounge

Blythe Valley Park is also home to a brand new Java Lounge Coffee House, which opened its doors in March 2017. Java Lounge are an independent Birmingham born brand who are passionate and committed to enhancing communities at their coffee houses, and we are lucky enough to have them here at Blythe Valley Park! Pop in and see the Java Lounge team to meet, eat, drink and relax. Opening hours are:

Monday – Friday: 7.30am – 7pm
Saturday: 9am – 5pm
Sunday: Closed

Virgin Active

As well as a 122 acre Country Park with a nature trail, we are home to a Virgin Active Gym and Health Spa, complete with outdoor and indoor swimming pools. You and your staff will never be short of an opportunity to relax, work out, have a treatment, take a class or simply enjoy the splendours of the peaceful outdoors that surrounds Blythe Valley Park.

Wellness At Work at Blythe Valley Park

Blythe Valley Park is Not Your average nine to five - and we understand that employees on the park need the opportunity to relax, unwind and learn whilst at work. Through the Wellness at Work campaign - we will be providing blogs, workshops and advice to help our tenant community achieve a positive work life balance.

As part of our Wellness at work campaign - we are focusing on The British Nutrition Foundations Healthy Eating Week from 12th - 16th June 2017. We have provided some top tips for healthy eating, including its benefits and how it might help you in the workplace! Each topic has a recipe relating to it, from brain food to healthy snacks! May 2017 – Mental Health Awareness Week

The Mental Health Foundation has hosted Mental Health Awareness Week in the second week of May since 2000. This year, at Blythe Valley Park we will be looking at how we can help our tenants step away from work and find time to relax within their working day. We are hosting a number of workshops in June which are free (and fun!) to attend:

  • MONDAY 5 JUNE

    GET UP AND GO CIRCUIT CLASS ON BLYTHE VALLEY LAWN WITH VIRGIN ACTIVE GYM

    Session will run at 12.30pm to 1.15pm.

    Maximum of 25 people.

  • TUESDAY 6 JUNE

    COUNTRY PARK LUNCHTIME DOG WALKING WITH DAYBREAKS KENNELS

    We have 6 rescue dogs visiting us on site – book in to take them on a 20 minute stroll around our country park!

  • THURSDAY 8 JUNE

    CERAMIC POTTERY PAINTING WITH THE CRAFTY HEN

    Two sessions of 40 minutes at 12.10pm & 1.15pm at One Central Boulevard. Maximum of 15 people per session.

  • THURSDAY 9 JUNE

    RELAX INTO THE WEEKEND YOGA ON BLYTHE VALLEY LAWN WITH VIRGIN ACTIVE GYM

    Session will run at 12.30pm to 1.15pm.

    Maximum of 20 people.

Why not try out one of our new walking meeting routes? There are 30 minute and one hour options for you to try. Not only is walking good for generating innovative thoughts, but as we know it’s one of the best forms of exercise – the average person burns approximately 150 calories in 1 hour walking at 1.8 mph.
